Monthy vs travel eSIMs
Monthy vs a travel eSIM (Airalo, Holafly, Saily, Nomad)
Travel eSIMs are good at what they do — you land somewhere, you turn one on, you don't get roaming charges. They're just not built for someone who lives in Manchester and has four days until their allowance resets. Prices are in dollars or euros, plans are shaped around trip lengths, and the support is written for visitors. Monthy is the same technology aimed at the actual problem.
Get me to reset dayWhat Travel eSIMs actually sells

When Travel eSIMs is the better buy
- You're actually travelling. If you're leaving the UK, buy a travel eSIM — Monthy is UK data only and won't help you abroad.
- You want one eSIM that covers several countries on one trip.
- You need a plan longer than a fortnight, which we don't sell.

Or just tell us how long
Pick your reset day and we'll work out the rest — you'll see the exact price before you pay anything.
Nothing arrives in the post. Monthy is a second data connection your phone downloads itself — it takes about a minute, and your normal SIM stays exactly where it is.
Common questions
- Can I use Airalo or Holafly at home in the UK?
- Usually yes, technically — but you'll be paying in dollars or euros for a plan shaped around a holiday, and your bank may add a conversion fee on top.
- Does Monthy work abroad?
- No. Monthy is UK data only. If you're going away, a travel eSIM is the right purchase and we'd say so.
- Is Monthy the same technology?
- Yes — it's a standard eSIM profile, installed the same way. The difference is what it's priced and written for.
- Will I be charged in pounds?
- Yes. One payment in pounds, VAT included, no conversion and no card surprises.
